Great views over Plymouth Sound. The lighthouse is dramatic despite its "Where's Wally" camouflage. The large asphalted area is easy to walk on although it attracts skateboarders, rollerbladers and unicyclists, so keep your wits about you. There's at least one place to get a coffee and several more within easy walking distance. The city centre is a reasonable walk away.

Op the 'Oe, an essential spot for all visitors and locals alike, climb the tower, admire the view and pay respects to the war dead. An ice cream is also an essential accessory.

Can be a bit windy on a wet day and good on a dry day.. Well worth a visit to see the view of Drakes island and to check out the memorials. Plenty of seating to take in the views.

The views along the Hoe are great. The walk is beautiful and peaceful (at times) it is busy at times and there can be a lot of people with dogs.

Plymouth Hoe is a fantastic place to visit, offering stunning panoramic views over the sea and a rich sense of history. It’s perfect for a relaxing walk, a picnic, or just sitting and watching the waves roll in. The open green space is beautifully maintained, and landmarks like Smeaton’s Tower add extra charm. Whether you’re visiting on a sunny day or under dramatic skies, it’s a peaceful and scenic spot that really captures the character of Plymouth. Highly recommended for anyone exploring the area!
