Welcome to UKSocials for Organisers
UKSocials.Club
What UKSocials Is
We are a platform that encourages real-world meetups and combats loneliness. No attention farming, no endless scrolling - just real people meeting in real places.
Your Role
You create events that bring people together. Your events are the reason people join UKSocials.
Verification Process
Apply through the organiser application form. We ask for a business email address (one on your organisation's own domain is the quickest proof) and at least one online link, such as your website, Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn page. An admin checks that you are a genuine organiser and may send a confirmation link to your business email. Once approved, your account goes live and you can post events straight away. Until then you can log in and look around, but you cannot publish events.
Creating Great Events
- Clear title - "Friday Night Board Games at The Fox" beats "Fun Event"
- Honest description - what to expect, who it's for, any costs
- Good photos - of the event or venue, not generic stock images
- Tags matter: "Solo-friendly" and "First-timers welcome" are incredibly powerful. These tags tell people it's OK to come alone.
Choosing a Venue
Search the venue directory, or add a new venue when creating your event. Tips: look for conversation-friendly spaces, accessible locations, and venues that welcome groups. The best venues have communal areas, reasonable noise levels, and non-alcoholic options.
Tickets & Pricing
Free events: Members RSVP directly on the platform. Capacity tracking and waitlists are automatic.
Paid events: Use Stripe Checkout (built-in) for ticket sales, or provide a link to an external ticketing platform.
Recurring Events
Set up weekly or monthly series. The system automatically generates future dates. You can edit individual occurrences independently without affecting the whole series.
Your Responsibilities
- Accurate listings - dates, times, venue details, pricing
- Prompt communication - respond to enquiries and questions
- Safe and inclusive events - everyone should feel welcome
- Events that don't happen or mislead members will be removed
Getting Featured
Admins curate a Featured Events section. Consistent quality, good attendance, inclusive tags (Solo-friendly, First-timers welcome), and positive organiser reputation increase your chances.
