Sub-Processors

Last updated: 30 April 2026

This page lists the third-party services we use to operate UK Socials. Each one processes some of your personal data on our behalf, under a contract that requires them to protect your data to the same standard we do.

We update this page when we add, remove, or change a sub-processor. Significant changes are notified via in-platform message and where possible by email.

Active sub-processors

Sub-processor What they do Data they receive Where they’re located
GoDaddy (our hosting provider) Stores all data on their servers; provides DNS, web hosting, and email hosting All site data UK / EU data centres (UK GDPR adequacy regulations apply)
Stripe Payments UK Ltd / Stripe Inc Processes subscription payments Name, email, billing details, transaction amount, IP at point of payment UK + USA — relying on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework
Stripe Connect Processes event-ticket payments where you buy a ticket sold by an organiser. We charge a 5% platform fee on each ticket sale; the organiser is the merchant of record. Same as above, plus the organiser’s Stripe Connect account ID Same as above
CookieYes (Octopath Pvt Ltd) Provides the cookie-consent banner. Free / lite version, not connected to their cloud. Records of your cookie preferences (anonymous) stored in your browser; no records leave the site EU (Lithuania) — EU adequacy applies. Octopath Pvt Ltd’s parent infrastructure is in India; we have not connected to their cloud, so no data leaves your browser to them.
Email host Routes any transactional email we may send (password resets, GDPR data exports, breach notifications). Recipient email + body of the message. We use the mail-host bundled with our GoDaddy hosting; if we move to a dedicated SMTP provider (e.g. Postmark, Brevo) we will update this list.

Plugin-level processors that handle data on our infrastructure

These don’t receive data externally — they are software running on our own servers — but they do process personal data inside our system:

  • WordPress core — the platform UK Socials is built on
  • BuddyPress — community / member system
  • Paid Memberships Pro (PMPro) — subscription billing logic
  • rtMedia — photo/video gallery
  • Other WordPress plugins as listed in our internal Records of Processing Activities

If you need a current full plugin list, contact info@uksocials.club.

What we do NOT use

For transparency, we want to be explicit about what UK Socials does NOT use:

  • We do not use Google Analytics 4 to identify individual users (we use it only for aggregate site analytics and only with cookie consent — see Cookie Policy)
  • We do not use Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, X (Twitter) Pixel, or any other social-media tracking pixel
  • We do not use advertising networks
  • We do not share data with data brokers or aggregators
  • We do not sell your data
  • We do not use your content or messages to train AI or machine-learning models, ours or anyone else’s

Changes to our sub-processors

When we change sub-processors:

  • For a change that materially affects how your data is handled (e.g. switching hosting provider, adding a new third party): we update this page and notify you via in-platform message at least 14 days in advance.
  • For a routine change (e.g. a sub-processor’s name change due to a corporate reorganisation): we update this page; no notification.
